Dustin Stutts to Victory Lane

Saturday, April 5th saw 2 of the 3 members of Mark Dowdy Racing in action at the Tennessee National Raceway. Dustin Stutts in the Killer Chassis #102 and Houston Hinton in his #22. Mark and the #88D, Killer were sitting idle with no show on the schedule for the weekend. The night started of with Qualifying. Houston put his Dowdy Welding & Fabrication, Liquid Nitro car in the 9th position on the field. Dustin put his Express Med, Fayetteville Monuments ride in the 3rd position. As the feature took the green flag both drivers fell into position and started to get re-acquainted with their rides after a long off season. However it was just a few laps into the race when Dustin started his march to the front. On lap 5 he ducked under the c66 of Oakley Johns for the second position and began to chase down the leader. At the halfway point of the 20 lap feature Dustin had caught the B20 of Boone Fullwood. He then made a great move exiting turn 4 to blast past the leader and assume the lead himself. From there Dustin went on to win the race by 5 car lengths over the Johns, Steven Holcomb & Carnell Parker. While all this was going on up front Houston had a good little race himself picking up one position to finish in the eighth spot. In Victory lane Dustin said "This Killer race car had some awesome forward bite tonight". He went on to thank Tony Stutts, Keith Russ & Mark Dowdy for all their help putting this ride together during the off season. Dustin is sponsored by Express Med of Lawrenceburg, TN., Mashburns General Merchandise, Fayetteville Monument, Liquid Nitro Energy Drink & Dowdy Welding & Fabrication.
This is "not your everyday race chassis" The quality of this race car has no equal. I have been around since the early days and what these guys have here is a car that will...
